aboutus

Pantomina started in 1996 as an informal partnership of free-lance business consultants. The consultants worked on project-basis. The consultants were mostly free-lancers. Contracts were mostly product of word-of-mouth, inside contacts, and by a network nurtured for over 15 years.

It catered mainly to small businesses and local government units. It prepared feasibility studies, operations manual, financing proposals, and corporate and business plans for business operators. For the local government units, it prepared municipal socio-economic profiles and comprehensive land use plans.

In 1996 it introduced a software package that was a customizable application that can be used by gasoline stations, most retail stores, and small factories. The software was internally developed by two of their informal partners.

Unfortunately, the software was developed under the DOS platform during its dying days. Selling DOS software in 1998 when Windows 95 was introduced two years earlier became hard. It was forced to migrate the software to Windows. It took six months of unlearning and learning moving from procedural to object-oriented event-driven environment.

Since then it added to the retail system other customizable applications like enrollment and grades, biometrics timekeeping, patient record, hospital information system, payroll, accounting, logistics, and nutritional status tracking.

In the process it has trained and maintained a stable of competent technical personnel who are now manning Pantomina.
